With this piece I've begun experimenting with rotating the vertex of the angles of horizontal and vertical symmetry (by 45 degrees). Further pieces will probably follow in this vein.
Another in an ongoing series of Phototapestries, exploring a visual metaphysics of symmetry, proportion and accidental ornamentation, using solely my own nature photography. The 'subtitle' of this piece (with thanks for the inspiration to Boyd Rice) refers to one of the long-term effects of regular performance of the Mass of the Phoenix (as well as Resh), an awakening of the otherwise latent "fire" in the blood, a solar-sympathetic response which might be similar to having chlorophyll for blood.
